Course Overview
A White Card is a license required to work in the construction industry in Queensland. White Cards are issued after successful completion of a general construction induction training (White Card Course).
Training Services is licensed by Worksafe Qld to issue the cards on their behalf, to participants who successfully complete the course. Qld White Cards are nationally recognised and accepted across Australia.
Course Delivery
This course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the safety requirements, legislative obligations, and best practices necessary to work safely in the construction industry.
It includes a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical activities. You will be issued with all resources that you require to complete your White Card training on the day. You will complete training and assessment tasks with the help of a qualified trainer and assessor.
The assessment process includes a series of questions based on common construction workplace situations that you may encounter. You will be required to answer questions verbally and unassisted.
Dates and Locations
The one-day classroom-based theory training takes place monthly in Townsville. Click on the link at the bottom of this page for available dates and venue details.
Courses start at 8.00am, and will be approximately 6 hours in duration. Participants are required to arrive 15 minutes early to present photo identification, ensure payment is finalised, and complete an enrolment form.
To minimise delays, course participants arriving later than 8.10am may be refused entry and will need to rebook their course.
Dress Code
Neat, casual clothing with closed in shoes.

- Fees must be paid in full before the commencement of the course
- 3 forms of ID (One must be Photo ID)
- USI number
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Special arrangements regarding ID documents may be available for the following groups:

- Temporary Overseas Workers
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders

Upon successful completion of the course requirements, participants will be issued their White Card. A Statement of Attainment will be issued for the following nationally recognised unit:
